Netflix’s New Material in 2023

Introduction 

       Netflix. Netflix is a streaming service that offers a variety of TV shows and movies. With the new year starting, the app will have new material added. This includes new seasons to shows that are already on the network. This also includes new movies and TV shows being added.  

Movies 

        In January of 2023, some movies have already come out. This includes Dog Gone, which came out Jan. 13. Jung_E, which was released Jan. 20. You People, which arrived on Jan. 27. Then finally, Pamela, a Love Story, which will be released Jan. 31. Dog Gone is a family drama, Jung_E is an International Sci-fi thriller, You People is a comedy, while Pamela, a Love Story is a documentary. 

       February has adventurous, romantic, and informative films being released. These consist of True Spirit, Feb. 3, Bill Russel: Legend, Feb. 8, Your Place or Mine, Feb. 10, and We Have a Ghost, Feb. 24.  

       Luther: The Fallen Sun, The Magician’s Elephant, and Murder Mystery 2, will all arrive on Netflix in March. Luther: The Fallen Sun, which will arrive March 10th, is a drama thriller. An animation, The Magician’s Elephant, will be released March 17. Finally, Murder Mystery 2, an action comedy, will come out March 31. 

TV Shows 

      Netflix is very well known for its amazing shows. 2023 is going to be full of exciting new TV shows. Here are a few of them.  

      Avatar: The Last Airbender is one I am quite excited for, since it will be a live action remake of the animated, 2005 version. Another is Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story which is a spinoff series about the history of Charlotte and how she rose the ranks. 

    The Night Agent is a mystery series that will be released on Netflix. The Three- Body Problem is a TV series made by the creators of Game of Thrones.  

    There will be spin off series from the To All the Boys movie franchise called XO, Kitty. This TV series will take place in Kitty’s view, the little sister of Lara Jean.  

    Another show coming in 2023 is, A Chorus Line, starring Ewan McGregor. This show is about Broadway dancers auditioning for roles.  

     New TV shows are quite exciting, but what about the renewed shows? Which past TV shows on Netflix will be getting another season? 

Renewed TV Shows 

     Do you ever watch a good show, and just wish there were another season? Well, certain shows on Netflix are up for renewal in 2023, which means there will be one or more seasons released to certain shows. 

    These include seasons 3 and 4 of Bridgerton which takes place in the early 1800s.  

    Heartstopper is also set for season 2 and 3 to come out. Shadow and Bone with Ben Barnes is confirmed to have season 2 in March. Outerbanks season 3 is expected to be released in February. 

    The Umbrella Academy season 4, which will sadly be the final season, is set to be filmed in 2023. I am quite excited about that one. I am also excited for season 2 of All of Us Are Dead.  

  The Crown will have season 6 debut in November, they might even highlight the queen’s death!
